Hi, I'm Onyeka

I am Onyekachukwu Ogwu, fondly known as The Anointed Problem Solver (TAPS). 

​

My driving ambition is to engineer ecosystems that enable individuals and communities to flourish. This vision manifests through a diverse portfolio of activities including rendering strategic and transactional advice to organizations and governments, leading a vibrant youth ministry, overseeing an NGO devoted to spreading smiles, imparting critical skills to burgeoning professionals, contributing to social causes and mentoring young minds for real-world impact.

Throughout my professional journey, I have been privileged to work with respected multinational firms such as KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and FirstBank Nigeria. Currently, I work as a strategy and transaction manager with Ernst and Young (EY), a role where I lend my expertise in corporate finance and strategic planning to domestic and international enterprises and government agencies.

An avid learner, I have a first-class degree in Accounting from the renowned Covenant University (where I served as the Vice-Chair of the Students’ Council), a postgraduate diploma in theology from the Redeemed Bible College, and a Leadership certificate from the Daystar Leadership Academy. Additionally, I am an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

​I am an eclectic thinker, blessed with a knack for innovative ideas to boost personal and business growth. As a speaker, I regularly share inspiring insights about career, finance, faith, and lifestyle on different platforms, equipping my audience with valuable knowledge.

 

Passionate about nurturing future leaders, I invest extensively in mentoring young professionals. I design custom coaching sessions and events to enhance their careers or businesses with the necessary skills.

I am passionate about service and making people smile, which led to the founding of Smile Republik in 2018. This non-profit social enterprise seeks to catalyze a global smile revolution, and since its inception, Smile Republik has delivered over 10,000 smiles through its multiple initiatives.

​

My faith is fundamentally intrinsic to who I am – a devout Christian serving in numerous capacities within my church home, RCCG Inspiration House Cork and  RCCG Living Seed Church. Concurrently, I serve as the Vice President of Finance at the RCCG Pastors Seeds’ Family (PSF), a burgeoning Christian youth community with over 20,000 members. I also serve as the strategic lead at YMR Global, where I project manage its flagship event - Young Ministers' Retreat (YMR) - Africa's largest youth gathering attracting over 150,000 young participants.

My life is blessed through the companionship of my remarkable wife, the beautiful and awe-inspiring Temitope Ogwu. Together we share a mission-led life filled with love and purpose.
